Radon Mitigation & Testing

What is radon?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that you cannot see, smell, or taste.  According to the Surgeon General, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.  There is no safe level of radon.  However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set 4 pCi/l or lower as an acceptable level of radon in a home.  If a home tests above 4 pCi/l then further action should be taken to reduce the radon levels in the home.
